If you're new here, welcome! We've welcomed so many new followers over the past several months, and I'm excited you're here.
While social media has been a little quieter than usual, Studio 312 Interiors has been experiencing one of its busiest and most rewarding seasons yet.
The first half of 2026 has been filled with exciting residential and commercial projects—from custom new construction homes and kitchen and bath renovations to workplace transformations, detailed construction drawings, construction site visits, finish specifications, 3D modeling, and detailed renderings. These are the behind-the-scenes moments where great design truly begins, long before the finished photos are ready to share.
At the same time, I've embraced another exciting professional opportunity as Assistant Professor of Interior Architecture and Design at La Roche University. Building on more than two decades of teaching in CIDA-Accredited interior design programs, this role allows me to mentor the next generation of designers while staying deeply connected to evolving design research, technology, and industry best practices.
Rather than competing with one another, these two roles strengthen each other. Every day in the classroom sharpens my thinking as a designer, and every client project brings current, real-world experience back to my students. It's a partnership that continually elevates the quality of work delivered to Studio 312 clients.
A Boutique Studio with Personal Attention
Studio 312 Interiors is intentionally a boutique practice.
Every project receives direct attention from me—from the initial consultation and concept development through construction documentation, material selections, site visits, and final installation. Clients work with one designer who understands every detail, ensuring consistency, clear communication, and thoughtful decision-making throughout the entire process.
This personalized approach allows each project to be carefully tailored to the people who will live or work in the space. Beautiful interiors are important—but the ultimate goal is creating environments that support everyday life, improve functionality, and reflect each client's unique story.
The Art of Balance
Balancing a thriving design practice, university teaching, and family life (hello, two teenage daughters!) has only reinforced what matters most: a joyful life, thoughtful planning, flexibility, empathy, dedication, and intentional design for real lives.
Understanding the realities of busy schedules, changing priorities, and the many ways people use their homes and workplaces helps shape spaces that are not only visually beautiful but genuinely functional. Design should make life easier, more enjoyable, and more meaningful.
The Future is Bright
As Studio 312 Interiors continues to grow, I'm excited to share more of the work happening behind the scenes.
Over the coming months, you'll see new project reveals, design inspiration, educational content, product discoveries, and a closer look at the creative process behind each project.
Thank you for following along and supporting this journey. Whether you're planning a custom home, renovating a kitchen or bath, refreshing your workplace, or simply gathering inspiration for the future, I'm grateful you're here.
The best is still ahead.
